Capita Symonds has quickly established itself as one of
the leading multidisciplinary consultancies in the Middle
East.
Although we have been working on various projects across the
region for a number of years, it was the opening of our first
Middle East office in Abu Dhabi - the capital of the United Arab
Emirates - in 2009 that really signalled a period of rapid
growth.
Since then we have also formed a joint venture company - Capita
Symonds Saudi Arabia Ltd – with Ghassan Al-Nemer Holding Group. The
joint venture will deliver project management and design services
in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - the world’s fastest growing large
country in terms of population over the past ten years - where
current infrastructure and public sector building programmes are
valued at some 35 billion dollars (£22bn).
Our other key projects in the region include:
- Raffles City, Bahrain: A prestigious mixed-use
development situated on reclaimed land in Bahrain Bay at the
gateway to the country’s capital city Manama.
- Movenpick, Jordan: This five star hotel
provides a sensitively designed scheme set in an indigenous desert
landscape.
- Seven Cities, Abu
Dhabi: The Seven Cities project in Al Gharbia, the
Western region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, comprises a portfolio
of seven mixed-use community development schemes for the region’s
key cities.
- Hawler International Airport, Iraq: The
airport’s design minimises the presence of columns at concourse
level, providing flexibility for future change and potential future
expansion.
- Aqaba Leisure Project, Jordan: This 250
hectare resort will comprise a 70 hectare saltwater lagoon, hotels,
residential, retail and office campus, 18 hole championship golf
course and golf academy.
- Corniche Towers, Jeddah: A 20 storey luxurious
landmark development comprising a hotel, shops and apartments.
- Kuwait Oncology Centre: This vital building
includes daycare, out-patients, ICU, bone marrow transplant and
inpatient wards.
