Capita Symonds has seven offices across Cumbria and the
north east of England.
Capita Symonds worked in strategic partnership with Cumbria
County Council between 2001 and 2011 delivering a number of
benefits to the region including the design and construction of a
new Regional Business Centre at Kingmoor Park in Carlisle and the
generation of capital receipts of £7.5m for the council
and £26m best value cost savings for the council. The
partnership also was the investment of over £11m into the local
economy; and the creation of 450 local jobs across Cumbria. The
partnership came to a close in January 2011 but Capita Symonds
maintains a strong presence in the region
Our Cumbria and north east business has worked on a number
of vital, award winning projects including:
-
Cumbria Floods: In the early weeks following
the 2009 disaster (pictured), our local teams assisted with the
clean-up operation, helping to reconnect communities by bringing
vital infrastructure back into service and rapidly assessing,
quantifying, prioritising and ordering £5m of repair works. Capita
Symonds has gone on to play a major role in the £30m recovery
programme.
-
Cumbria Academies: Capita Symonds is
currently providing a range of services to Cumbria County Council
to support the development of four new Academies through the
Partnership for Schools National Framework.

three new business parks that will create 1,500 jobs, delivering
