As Wales’s largest multidisciplinary consultancy, Capita
Symonds has played a vital role in some of the country’s largest
and most iconic projects.
We have an unrivalled Welsh heritage both in terms of projects
delivered and the organic growth of our seven offices in both South
and North Wales, which employ over 400 staff.
Our architects designed the Wales Millennium Centre, the Celtic
Manor Hotel and BBC Hoddinott Hall; our project managers delivered
the Ebbw Valley Railway, Bluestone Leisure Village and the Milford
Haven Gas Pipeline; and our engineers planned the Llandysul Bypass,
the Bargoed Regeneration Scheme and Newbridge’s Calzaghe
Bridge.
Our offices embrace many of the Welsh businesses that have
joined us over the past 15 years including Percy Thomas Architects,
with its proud history of landmark Welsh architecture; Estatecare,
with its roots in NHS Wales during the 1990s; North Wales project
management firm IE Symonds; Travers Morgan, which delivered the A55
project and the Conwym Penmaenmawr and Pen y Clip tunnels; and
industrial experts Multi-tech from Bridgend.
We are also home to two former public sector engineering
businesses – Gwent Consultancy and Glamorgan Engineering
Consultancy – which have joined us in recent years through our
award-winning public/private strategic partnerships.
Our heritage gives us an innate understanding of close
partnership working with the Welsh Assembly Government, local
authorities and other organisations, while our multi-faceted range
of services – supported by our network of offices across the UK and
internationally – is unrivalled in Wales.
