How many graduates do you recruit?

We recruit up to 100 graduates each year across a variety of disciplines and locations. Details of our graduate vacancies can be found under the Vacancies section of our website. We also employ a number of summer and year-out placement students each year.

What kind of people are you looking for?

We are a major UK infrastructure and property consultancy and we are looking for enthusiastic and committed people who are keen to make a difference - in their chosen career, in the office they work in, the projects they work on and to the clients they work with.

When would you want me to start?

We will agree a suitable start date with you at the time of offering you a position.

What hours would you expect me to work?

Your working hours will be agreed with you when we discuss the details of a position. A full time working week is 37.5 hours in most parts of the business. We operate a flexible working policy in most parts of the business so there a variety of working patterns available that you may wish to take advantage of.

What is involved in the recruitment process?

Our selection process is typically through face-to-face interview. In some cases you will be invited for a second interview. We aim to get back to you regarding the outcome of the interview as soon as possible and provide you with feedback on your performance.

Do you accept applications from people who require a work permit?

Yes. If you have the necessary skills and experience to meet the criteria specified in the vacancy details, we would be pleased to hear from you. We have staff that are experienced in dealing with work permit arrangements and can help you with the application.

What happens when I join you?

When you join, you will meet with your line manager on your first day. You will work through a comprehensive induction programme which will introduce you to your colleagues, the work environment and to your new role. Your line manager will set you objectives, so you are aware what is expected of you in your new role. Our aim is to get you up and running and involved in exciting projects from day one!

What training do you provide?

We provide a comprehensive range of training and development opportunities for our graduates and actively encourage and support you to achieve membership of a relevant professional body.

We offer a range of activities to contribute towards your CPD, including lunchtime seminars and workshops.

In addition, we aim to give you a variety of experiences in the workplace to help you develop in your role and achieve a greater understanding of our business with opportunities to work on-site, rotate between different disciplines and spend time in different offices.

What accredited training schemes do you offer?

Is there a good social side to life at Capita Symonds?
