Learning and development

Training is an investment, not a cost. We place training and development at the centre of your career progression and want all our staff to succeed and be proud of their achievements and responsibilities.

We endeavour to cultivate an environment which gives employees the space, tools and atmosphere in which to develop personally and professionally.

We're keen that you make the most of any opportunities that will add value to your roles. Learning doesn’t stop when you attain a certain level though; great emphasis is placed on developing future leaders who will continue to lead our business forward.

We recognise that everyone has different training and development needs, so offer a variety of options to develop both personally and professionally throughout your career. Opportunities may vary depending on your role and location.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

We recognise that as professionals, you have a responsibility to keep your skills and knowledge up-to-date, so professional development is promoted and encouraged throughout the organisation and we have staff working towards qualifications with over 15 different professional bodies.

We can support your study at college, university, or becoming chartered with professional institutions. We can also provide funding and support to learn new skills to help you in your everyday role.

Personal development

Through our parent company, the Capita Group Plc, you will have the opportunity to undertake training in a wide variety of personal skills from Assertiveness through to Time Management. These will complement your technical development and support you to develop in a more holistic way – fully preparing to face any challenges you may meet in your role.

Performance appraisals

Performance appraisals are undertaken with all staff at least twice a year where learning & development needs and opportunities are discussed and agreed. Activities are aligned to business and personal objectives and these form the basis of an individual training plan for the year ahead.
