Capita Symonds is one of the newest and most exciting multidisciplinary consultancies in the UK and we know that real passion and commitment, guts and guile, fun and loyalty will always get you further.
Whether it's the glorious Wembley stadium; new hospital designs that could save the NHS millions; life affirming projects in some of the world's poorest communities; a 300km gas pipeline from England to Wales; testing sound levels at Glastonbury (not to mention clearing up some of the mess afterwards); award winning eco-schools and cultural buildings; or preserving the habitat of the Great Crested Newt - our design, engineering, management, transport and environment teams have done it all.
Nevertheless, what we really want to get across to you is that you can come from any background, any career path and - if you're good enough - we will help find the role that will change your life. Here's our proof:
Lucy Rutland - It was as a television producer for 'The Einstein Network' - producing training videos covering a range of construction industry topics - where Lucy became interested in becoming a project manager. Since joining Capita Symonds, she has become professionally qualified and has worked on a number of important projects for us. We liked Lucy so much that, when she felt it was time to leave our London office, we found her a place on our Bristol team where she is currently working on projects such as Finzels Reach - a plus new waterside development in the centre of Bristol.
Andrew Wheldon - After ending his professional rugby union career with Leeds (a career which had also included representing Wales at U19 level) Andrew completed an MBA before joining Capita Symonds in 2004. He has quickly become a star player at Capita Symonds and is now a Director in our Property Finance & Development Monitoring team, with responsibility for the both the delivery of projects and his team's business development.
Kattalin Atorrasagasti - Hailing from San Sebastian in the Basque country, Kattalin was part of British Airways' cabin crew. One MSC in Transport Planning later and she was on her last flight with BA, and on her way to Capita Symonds. Since then she was worked for us on transport projects across Europe, the Caribbean and Africa and is now working for us part time while she does something far more important - raising a young family.
