Capita Symonds has been appointed as design team to Wates Contractors for Brent Council, in association with E-ACT Sponsor and The Crest Academies, to build a £37m Crest Girls’ and Boys’ Academies in the London Borough of Brent.

Airbus

Capita Symonds has been appointed by Airbus Operations Limited to provide multidisciplinary management and design services for the multi-million pound Airbus Aerospace Park project in Filton, Bristol.

A key driver for the project has been Airbus' desire for buildings with low environmental impact. The new buildings will be designed with the maximum use of natural ventilation, a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating and energy use targets of less than 50kWh/m2/annum.

West Hertfordshire NHS Trust

Capita Symonds’ architects and civil and structural engineers (as part of the IHP P21+ team) have been successfully appointed by the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, to deliver the West Hertfordshire transforms projects.

Our initial work will focus on developing viable business cases for new hospital facilities across the trust, including the new facility at Watford. Estimated costs for the Watford project are £280-300m if it is tackled in one single stage and £380-400m if it is delivered in phases.

Free Schools

Capita Symonds has been appointed as Technical Advisor to Partnerships for Schools (PfS) on free schools in Bedford and Kempston, England. Capita Symonds is at the forefront of the free schools and academies agenda and is helping the Government to shape their approach to the delivery of these new schools.
