Meet the management team of Northcroft...

Nick Howkins

Nick brings over thirty years’ experience to the company both as a technical provider and business manager.

He has been involved in major PFI and Facilities Management projects and has expert knowledge on the link between building design and lifetime operations of buildings. In addition he has managed large multi-disciplined groups of designers, providing invaluable experience in the co-ordination of various design elements of projects.

Nick's technical expertise has been used in the delivery of a number of sophisticated and highly serviced buildings in the fields of Defence, Healthcare and Education.

Nick has recently been involved in the delivery of a number of large masterplans of University Estates and is also a committee member of the RIBA's HEDQF committee set up to raise quality in Higher Education. He speaks regularly on matters related to Higher Education.  He is also a member of the RICS communications Board.

  1. University of Bristol Masterplan
  2. University of Sussex strategic advice on a wide range of projects including New Academic Buildings, residential projects, catering projects and Infrastructure upgrades.
  3. University of Bath – delivery of a £90m Masterplan and many discrete projects

Steven Handley

Steven is a 1st Class Honours graduate, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and a Certified Prince 2 Practitioner. He has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and specialises in providing our project management, lead consultancy and Client/Employer’s Agent services.

Steven has been instrumental in developing our professional services within the Greater Midlands and heads our Birmingham office. He has successfully managed numerous high value and complex projects in a variety of sectors and his experience of detailed contractual negotiations and team management has contributed to his success.

Steven’s sector experience is widespread working closely with our clients to ensure that schemes are programmed, managed and delivered in line with key drivers. Key projects include:
  1. The redevelopment of Kingfisher Shopping Centre, Redditch
  2. University of Warwick’s 500 Bed Student Residential Scheme
  3. Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Stand Development

Joseph Infante

Joseph has over thirty-five years’ experience of major capital projects within the infrastructure and construction industry working initially as design engineer and then as project engineer, project/commercial director and technical and claims adviser.

He has considerable experience in procurement, engineering design, contractual, commercial and general management consultancy of projects in Oil & Gas, power generation, civil engineering and road/rail transportation. As Technical Advisor, Joseph has worked for major funding institutions and supply chain providing due diligence and project monitoring expertise on major transport and utilities projects. As Claims Adviser, Joseph has acted for clients on projects up to £6bn capex and successful claims and final account settlements of up to the value of £155 million. In commercial management Joseph, has provided services in project definition, procurement and financial modelling of lump sum, EPC, BOT and PFI contracts for projects up to US$ 8bn.  Experience includes economic development, commercial planning and evaluation, regulatory approvals, project sanction, project procurement, contract tendering, cost management, contract negotiations and award.

Joseph has successfully completed assignments on multi-million pound projects in the UK, Europe, Middle East, South East Asia and South America including;

  1. UN Claims Commission Gulf War US$100Bn – Quantum Expert Witness in International Arbitration.
  2. Saadyat Island Project
  3. AKPO Oilfield development, Nigeria,
  4. Inter Urban Highway Capital Programme, Middle East
  5. Nuclear, Hydro & Gas fired Power Stations in Indonesia, PNG and UAE
  6. CTAP, London Underground Ltd
  7. Bangkok Rail, Thailand

Graham Grabski

Graham has over twenty five years within the construction industry being involved in all aspects of cost management.

Graham has gained significant experience on a variety of projects in almost all sectors including commercial, education, public and leisure. With his ability in both pre and post construction activities, Graham currently uses his expertise to drive and deliver value in the feasibility stages of projects where the cost manager can be at their most influential in making sure the clients brief, objectives and aspirations are met.

Such is the variety of this work; Graham has been involved in some of Northcroft most prestigious projects including:

Paul Heal

Paul has nearly twenty-five years’ experience within construction and real estate with a primary focus in the commercial sector (both developer and corporate) over the last 10 years.

He has extensive knowledge and experience providing tailored cost management solutions on major multi million pound projects across the office development, mixed use development, corporate occupier real estate and data centre sectors.
