For the transport industry our technology services include
Active Traffic Management (ATM); Managed Motorway Systems; Road
User Charging & Tolling Systems; Tunnel Control and Monitoring;
Real Time Passenger Information; Technology Enforcement Systems;
CCTV systems including traffic surveillance and Automatic Number
Plate Recognition (ANPR); Control Centres; and Traffic Monitoring
and Control Systems. Our specific solutions include laser
scanning; panoramic photography and virtual tours; asset records
and management systems (ARMS); plus document capture and
reprographic services.
We have also developed SMART Operations solutions that provide a
totally integrated engineering service across all aspects of a
project life cycle, from basic design through to detailing,
manufacture, installation and commissioning in mechanical and
electrical / controlled systems.
Our Tunnel Data Management System (TDMS) is one example of a
customised maintenance management tool that provides the client
with a one-stop-shop for all tunnel documents and drawings, as well
as a suite of asset management tools.
Our Postbox and Informer systems, meanwhile, provide map based
electronic communications system for the reporting and management
of highways defects. The application encompasses desktop software
for call centre users, a web interface for members of the public to
log faults, and a remote survey tablet PC version for mobile
workers (Informer).
We also provide the Highways Agency Traffic Information System
(HATRIS) which is used to monitor and report on vehicle journey
times across set routes on the motorway and trunk road network,
enabling the Highways Agency and Department for Transport to
identify trends and measure benefits from new schemes.
The provision of managed services to clients is another growing
part of our added value offering and includes clients such as TfL
where we provided this service for its Network Asset Management
System (NAMS) and Construction Design and Management (CDM)
System.
