The world continues to be an uncertain place, where the
weather and the environment can pose severe challenges to civil
society, while extremist groups across the political spectrum
threaten people's safety.
In its second year, the LGA national emergency planning
conference will provide an insight into the challenges facing
councils, and other partners, in maintaining services. It will also
look at managing the impact on communities, while also keeping a
focus on wider risks.
