Airedale NHS Trust Announces Improvements Programme

17 October 2011

Wilmott Dixon has been appointed by the Airedale NHS Foundation Trust (ANHSFT) to carry out planned improvements to Airedale General Hospital, near Keighley, West Yorkshire.

Capita Symonds will be providing architectural, M&E and structural services on the five year, £15m programme which includes a new endoscopy unit and the refurbishment of the hospital’s Accident and Emergency department.

All projects will utilise Willmott Dixon’s unique ‘Insitu Plan’ that ensures patients and staff are not disrupted by the building work.

Anthony Dillon, managing director for Willmott Dixon in the North said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded this long-term contract to improve facilities and deliver a hospital that’s fit for the future needs of its local communities.”

Wilmott Dixon won the contract through the ProCure21+ National Framework, a framework agreement with six Supply Chains (PSCPs) selected via an OJEU Tender process for capital investment construction schemes across England up to 2016.
