Wilmott Dixon has been appointed by the Airedale NHS Foundation
Trust (ANHSFT) to carry out planned improvements to Airedale
General Hospital, near Keighley, West Yorkshire.
Capita Symonds will be providing
architectural, M&E and structural services on the five year,
£15m programme which includes a new endoscopy unit and the
refurbishment of the hospital’s Accident and Emergency
department.
All projects will utilise Willmott Dixon’s
unique ‘Insitu Plan’ that ensures patients and staff are not
disrupted by the building work.
Anthony Dillon, managing director for Willmott
Dixon in the North said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded
this long-term contract to improve facilities and deliver a
hospital that’s fit for the future needs of its local
communities.”
Wilmott Dixon won the contract through the ProCure21+ National
Framework, a framework agreement with six Supply Chains (PSCPs)
selected via an OJEU Tender process for capital investment
construction schemes across England up to 2016.
