Capita Symonds and telent technology services have
announced the launch of a new traffic technology services
partnership which has been awarded a framework agreement by
Government Procurement Service in all 11 lots of the new Traffic
Management Technology Framework.
The new framework has been created to allow customers to
efficiently and cost-effectively procure a wide range of traffic
management solutions, services and products. Capita Symonds and
telent were the only bidders to be successful in all 11 lots, which
include the supply of traffic management solutions; traffic signals
and ramp metering; street lighting services; and traffic management
research and consultancy.
The new partnership is part of a wider collaboration between
Capita Symonds and telent's traffic technology business which will
bring to market a number of innovative cost saving
propositions.
"This partnership combines telent’s market-leading traffic
technology and services solutions with Capita Symonds’ extensive
design, infrastructure and outsourcing solutions” commented Keith
Higginbotham, General Manager of telent's Traffic Technology
business. “Our appearance on all 11 lots allows public sector
customers to purchase the full suite of traffic management
technology solutions from one source; helping simplify public
sector procurement and bring further efficiencies to the public
sector supply chain."
John Southgate, Executive Director of Capita Symonds added:
"Both Capita Symonds and telent have long and well established
reputations for individual service excellence in this market. We
fully recognise the very real and increasing pressure on public
resources, and this exciting new partnership means customers will
now have access to the combined strengths of both companies
bringing real innovation, thought leadership and huge additional
value to the marketplace."
