Capita Symonds has been appointed by Carillion to provide a range
of multidisciplinary expertise on its partnership with Oxfordshire
County Council for property and facilities management
services.
Capita Symonds’ contract – estimated to be
worth approximately £42m over ten years – comprises the delivery of
strategic asset management; project and programme management;
estates management; and multidisciplinary design services. It also
includes the TUPE transfer of over 90 employees to the company.
The wider Carillion/Oxfordshire County Council
partnership also features a framework agreement through which other
local councils and bodies within Oxfordshire can procure services
from Carillion and Capita Symonds without the need for further
procurement processes or costs. Participating bodies include health
and other public sector organisations, the district councils,
schools (including academies) and further education colleges across
Oxfordshire.
Dave Spencer, Executive Director, Capita
Symonds, says: “We have an excellent track record of improving
local services and creating jobs through local authority
partnerships across the UK, and look forward to achieving the same
success in Oxfordshire. We are also looking forward to partnering
once again with Carillion with whom we have a highly successful
record of service and project delivery.”
