Capita Symonds has become a Foundation
Partner of the property industry charity
LandAid.
The company will make a substantial donation
to the charity each year as well as providing pro bono assistance
and hands-on volunteers for LandAid projects.
Established in 1986, LandAid’s aim is to
transform the lives of the young and disadvantaged across the UK by
making the most effective use of the property industry’s combined
resources, expertise and influence. Since 2008 it has invested £2.4
million in various projects across the country while in the last
year alone has increased the amount of money it has provided for
worthwhile schemes by 46 per cent.
Alan Dornford, Director – Markets, Capita
Symonds, commented: “The Foundation Partner scheme ensures
that we are able to do more than just write a cheque. Our
sponsorship gives Capita Symonds’ 3500 + employees the opportunity
to get involved at a local level and to know that by offering their
expertise or individual fundraising support it will build into
something much bigger across the UK. We’ve seen first hand
the huge difference LandAid makes, especially to young people, and
we are excited to be a part of the network.”
Joanna Averley, Chief Executive of LandAid,
added: “I am pleased to welcome Capita Symonds as a Foundation
Partner of LandAid. They have joined at an extremely exciting time
for the charity. As our fundraising continues to grow we can do
even more to support the young and disadvantaged and we are looking
forward to continuing to have a positive impact on many young
lives, with Capita Symonds as an active partner.”
