Richard King has joined Capita Symonds’ Acoustics team as
Principal Consultant.
Richard has six years experience as an
acoustic consultant working on projects including student
accommodation, recording studio design, leisure centres, commercial
offices, hospitals and schools. He has also dealt with noise
issues relating to planning, construction noise, licensing and
noise at work assessments.
Prior to this Richard worked for the Ford
Motor Company as a multimedia acoustic engineer, and designed
experimental radar systems for BAE Systems. He is also an
APMP qualified project manager, having worked at the Transport
Research Laboratory on a number of Department for Transport and
Highways Agency projects relating to noise barriers, traffic
vibration, and vehicle and tyre noise.
Richard will be responsible for the acoustic
design on schemes including the Stratford Island University Campus;
offices at 1 Threadneedle Street; the Heritage Place development in
Nigeria; and a number of educational schemes.
