South Devon Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has won the
Capita Symonds sponsored ‘Efficiency in Estates Management’
category at the 2011 HSJ (Health Service Journal) Efficiency
Awards.
Capita Symonds’ Lesley Powell and Karen Breakwell presented the
award at a ceremony at The Hilton, Park Lane, London.
The health service has to deliver £20bn of efficiency savings by
2015. Trusts are being tasked with delivering more for less, with
the focus firmly on maintaining quality, and reducing costs through
efficiency savings. The inaugural HSJ Efficiency Awards aim to
promote organisations who demonstrate strategies and initiatives
that have tangibly improved efficiency and cost savings, whilst
maintaining the highest levels of patient care and staff
morale.
