The Capita Group Plc has been
named in the Top 10 of Management
Today’s ‘Britain’s Most Admired Companies'
Awards 2007.
The Awards, run in association with Watson Wyatt, are the UK’s
Business Oscars. The winners are chosen by taking the 10 largest
listed companies in the UK in 22 sectors and asking them to rate
their rivals in nine separate categories.
Marks & Spencer was crowned overall winner for 2007, with
previous winner Tesco slipping to 2nd place. Capita reached 8th
place in the top ten (from 53rd in 2006) and achieved the
fourth highest score overall in three of the nine measures of
success – ‘ability to attract, develop & retain top talent’,
'values as a long-term investment' and ‘capacity to innovate’.
