Capita Symonds appoints Malcolm Somerfield

Malcolm Somerfield has joined Capita Symonds’ architectural division – Capita Architecture – as Director for the North of England.

Malcolm (right), who was previously a Partner at the Hurd Rolland Partnership, has extensive and comprehensive architectural expertise in the primary commercial sectors of B1, retail, mixed urban regeneration and leisure. His wide-ranging and specialist knowledge base, commercial sensitivity and design focus has resulted in him working with most of the UK’s leading institutional funds, major national developers, contracting consortia, local authority joint ventures and regional development agencies.

His recent experience has been the development of a unique and holistic blend of skills combining educational visioning with design management and economic regeneration as a result of working on the processing of educational BSF and Academy projects.

Malcolm was also previously a main board Director of both the McColl Group Limited and the John Brunton Partnership working throughout the UK and Europe.
