Capita Symonds is the UK's fourth largest
consultancy (up from sixth in 2008) in Building magazine's annual
Top 250 Consultants league table, published today.
The UK's top 10 consultants (last year's ranking in
brackets):

Our individual specialisms have also seen a move up the
rankings, with Capita Symonds (Capita
Architecture) featuring as 4th largest architect (2008:
6th), 10th largest engineer and surveyor (2008: 12th) and 6th
largest project manager (2008: 7th). Capita Symonds is also
the UK's 6th largest fee-earner (2008: 7th).
Consultants are ranked by the number of UK chartered staff, with
Capita Symonds boasting almost 1,662 across all disciplines (as of
July 2009), and over 4,000 staff overall, in 58 UK
offices.
Building's annual Top 250 Consultants File is regarded as the
main ranking in the UK construction industry. All companies are
invited to submit their chartered, technical and admin staff
numbers, plus financial information, every year to give a snapshot
of the size, structure and health of the UK industry.
