Capita Symonds has been appointed to provide Event
Health and Safety services on the inauguration of Qatargas’ Laffan
Refinery in Qatar.
The event features a purpose-built 3000 sq m marquee, 12 tonnes
of audio-visual rigging, and a massive air conditioning
infrastructure to combat the 45C+ heat. It will be attended by 350
invited guests, including H.H. The Emir of Qatar as well as a
variety of other international Royal dignitaries and will feature a
45 minute show followed by a 5 star lunch in an adjacent glass
walled structure.
Located one hour away from Doha - the capital of Qatar - Laffan
Refinery is part of the Ras Laffan Industrial City, one of the
largest oil and gas plants in the world. The refinery has a
processing capacity of 146,000 barrels per stream day.
Capita Symonds is working on the 35 day project behalf of client
WRG Qatar LLC who are working to Qatargas’ strict Health and Safety
regulations, which are understood to be amongst the best in the
world.
