Jerry Muscroft joins Newbury office

Jerry Muscroft has joined Capita Symonds’ Newbury office as Business Development Director

Jerry MuscroftJerry joins the company from Stuart Michael Associates where he was Director responsible for business development across both the private and public sector.

He has over 20 years experience in green and brownfield development and infrastructure schemes, overseeing projects from the conception stage, through the planning process and on to detailed design and construction. 

Key projects include

  • Newbury Racecourse: Project Director responsible for overseeing the preparation of the Transport Statement, Flood Risk Assessment and sustainable drainage, utilities and foul drainage to support an outline planning application for a 1200 unit residential development and renovation of racecourse facilities.
  • Pinewood Film Studios: Jerry has worked with the Studios for the last 15 years providing engineering advice and design for Stages R&S, enlargement of the Paddock Tank, Car Park 3 (at the time this was the largest car park to be formed using porous blocks in the country). He also oversaw the supporting transportation and drainage strategies for outline planning permission for the erection of over 100,000 sq m of new workshops and studios. 
  • Churchfields, Daventry: Responsible for preparing the flood risk assessment, sustainable drainage solution and waste water drainage strategy for a 4000 residential development with associated infrastructure including schools, local and district centres, employment and leisure facilities. 
  • Royal Windsor Horse Show: Designed a new all weather dressage arena within Holme Park, Windsor Castle. Also prepared the Event Management plan, Travel Plan and evacuation plans for the event and obtain approvals for all the key stakeholders.
  • Silverstone: Responsible for the management of the design and construction of a £3m project to reconstruct half the circuit and resurface the whole of the Grand Prix track in 1996.
