Peter Childs has joined Capita Symonds
as Associate Director for Air Quality.
Peter (right) joins our Air
Quality team in East Grinstead from BAA Gatwick where he was Air
Quality & Noise Manager, responsible for developing and
implementing an Air Quality Action Plan to meet the Local
Authority’s stringent requirements.
David Leversedge, Capita Symonds’ Director of
Acoustics and Air Quality, says: “The team have a strong record in
modelling the potential impact of road schemes and new developments
on air quality. Nevertheless, Peter’s knowledge of odour assessment
and air quality management will give us an even greater range of
expertise, enabling us to identify and target a range of new
business opportunities. We extend a warm welcome to Peter and wish
him a long and successful career with Capita Symonds.”
After graduating from Plymouth with an
Environmental Science degree in 1989, Peter became a Chartered
Chemist in 1995. After working for Southern Water as an Analytical
Chemist, he joined Southern Science to develop contaminated land
investigation and analysis services. While at Southern Science he
introduced odour assessments to Southern Water which were
successfully used in EIA and in resolving long standing odour
problems.
