Plans to redevelop the historic Southport Market have been given
the go-ahead by Sefton Council’s Elected Members.
Capita Symonds’ Sefton partnership is project managing the £3m
scheme which will redevelop the 130-year old building into a hive
of busy cafes and restaurants, whilst adhering to the requirements
of the conservation area.
Capita Symonds is providing architecture, building services,
structures, project management and public realm services on the
scheme, with consultants Quarterbridge involved as specialists in
market design.
Work is due to start on site on 27 September, with the projected
finish date of September 2011.
