The Project
Capita Symonds is Catalyst Education’s consortium
partner for Lancashire County Council's flagship Building Schools
for the Future (BSF) programme. The programme is delivering the new
strategic partnership in Lancashire which will radically improve
the quality of the school estate over the next 10
years.
As part of the Lancashire BSF programme Capita Symonds is
delivering Accrington and Fulwood Academies, two of the
first Academies to be delivered through the programme.
The delivery of these Academies was not only a change in the way
Capita Symonds had traditionally worked within a BSF programme, in
terms of design and procurement methodology but also changed the
whole ethos as to who our client was. The team demonstrated a high
level of transformational capability to work effectively within a
system where the contractor is client but broad church of
stakeholders is involved.
