The project
Capita Symonds was client side Development Manager for
this award winning scheme. We were responsible for overall
external project team leadership and implementation of the
£45million, 110 000 sq.ft. construction fit out works to provide an
innovative Network Broadcasting Centre and Headquarters for the
BBC’s English Regions.
The project included 8 radio studios, Television news studio, 28
audio and video dubbing and editing suites and their associated
apparatus rooms and resilient infrastructure.
The project developed around 60,000 sq.ft. of innovative,
flexible open plan office space for online, radio and TV newsroom
and general office areas in addition to c 40,000 sq.ft. of
broadcast technical spaces.
