The project
In the middle of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
lies the spectacular £110m Bluestone leisure
development.
Capita Symonds provided project and cost management services on
the world class Bluestone development from 2006. The team is also
acting as fund monitor for HBOS and Finance Wales Investments -
both part funders of the scheme.
The 550 acre site consists of 186 timber lodges set around a
traditionally-designed private village featuring cottages, studios,
shops, restaurants, a pub, a wine bar, a sports club and an
holistic spa. Subsequent phases of the development will increase
the number of lodges to 400 and will involve the construction of a
state-of-the-art snow centre.
The park also includes the Blue Lagoon Water Park which is
believed to be the only biomass-heated water park in the world.
