The project
Capita Symonds’ property teams manage the commercial
property assets on behalf of our Local
Authority Partners.
Revenue income and capital generation are vitally important
areas for local authorities who ultimately support front line
services and the wider operations of the city council. It is
essential therefore that these assets are well managed and the
council receives the best possible commercial advice when making
decisions in respect of such assets.
Across our Partnerships, Capita Symonds
manage in excess of 8,300 property assets ranging from garage and
garden tenancies to substantial office, retail and industrial
portfolios. The current capital value of these assets is circa
£220Million, producing an annual rental income of just under
£20Million.
Capita Symonds undertake all aspects of the management of
the commercial estate within its Partnerships , particularly all
Landlord and Tenant work, and proactively look to secure additional
rental income and added capital value. We also manage significant
leased in assets on behalf of our Local Authority Partners
Through our wider operations we also undertake work on the
commercial estates in the following areas - Rating, Disposal,
Acquisition, Dilapidation and Strategic Asset Management
advice.
