The project
Salford Council has embarked on an important project to
restore Ordsall Hall Museum, Salford’s Grade I listed Tudor
hall.
Capita Symonds project managed this scheme to restore and
improve access to the Grade I listed Hall. The project comprises
architecture, landscape, training and audience development to
promote greater community involvement.
In partnership with a core client team we also secured £4.3m
from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) towards this £7m project.
The secured funding will go towards opening up rooms of the hall
that the public do not yet have access to, redeveloping its
grounds, making a high specification learning and community room,
improving the exhibits and cementing it at the heart of community
life.
