The Project

Capita Lovejoy provided the landscape masterplan, landscape and visual assessment and detail design for the redevelopment of the public areas of the racecourse, which included a radical overhaul of the design and layout of the racecourse with a new grandstand and associated buildings.

The plans included repositioning the parade ring closer to the grandstand, improving access to the car parks, proposals for the heath and realigning the course’s straight mile to improve visibility of the races.

The key focus will be to improve access between the public areas of the racecourse, easing the movement of up to 80,000 spectators attending the Royal Ascot. This is a joint project between Capita Lovejoy and Michel Desvigne.
