In April 2012 the housing revenue
account held by each local housing authority will be changed. In
essence each local authority that own houses will become an
independent asset management body. This is having a number of
consequences as councils look very closely at how they can use
their housing assets most effectively to meet local
needs.
Amongst the consequences is the planned
demolition of homes which are costly to maintain and manage. The
introduction of a revised ‘Right to Buy’ programme may also reduce
the number of homes available for new households. Other initiatives
such as those to reduce under occupation or bring empty homes back
into use may, however, increase supply.
We focus on being a strategic
partner for our clients – delivering a comprehensive service across
their portfolio while optimising the benefits of continuous
improvement efficiency and cost reduction.
Providing new and refurbished housing
solutions, we apply cutting edge design that maximises space and
meets the needs of today’s lifestyle.
All new homes that we design are to a minimum
standard of level 4 Code for Sustainable Homes and lifetime home
space standards. Features that we implement in our designs include:
rainwater harvesting and mechanical & ventilation whole heat
recovery systems.
