Our management team
Meet the management team of Capita Symonds' real estate
division.
Alan is responsible for our property
investment and agency business, which transacts on average over
£1billion annually.
Alan joined the Real Estate divisional board
in 2010, six months after NB Real Estate was acquired. His
career at NB Real Estate began in 1992 and he was a member of the
NB Real Estate board from 2001. Clients ranging from ITV,
AXA, Royal Mail and Royal Bank of Scotland have worked with Alan on
a wide range of investment consultancy, transactions and asset
management business.
Chris Paxford is responsible
for all project management, cost consultancy and Health &
Safety within the real estate division of Capita
Symonds.
A project manager by background,
Chris has held senior positions in property consultancy and
construction businesses for over 15 years and been involved in the
industry for 30 years. Chris’s experience embraces all construction
sectors and all sizes of projects. He has worked widely in the
retail sector and has extensive knowledge of the latest
environmental and renewable technologies.
Richard is responsible for Capita Symonds'
management operations in West Africa, North Africa, Middle
East and China.
He joined Symonds in 1995 (becoming Capita Symonds in
2004) and has been a divisional board member since
2006. As a chartered civil engineer, Richard has extensive
experience in the management of multi million pound building
projects. In 1997 he was client Project Director responsible
for the Greenwich Peninsula regeneration project which included the
Millennium Dome (now O2). He has been responsible for the delivery
of all design and management services across the EMEA region for
ExxonMobil since 2005 – a role covering many projects from Cameroon
to Lagos, Prague, Helsinki, Budapest to Paris and Kazakhstan to
Cairo. Richard has a Bachelor of Engineering degree
from Sheffield University and a Diploma in Project
Management (distinction) from the School of Business Leadership,
University of South Africa.
Richard is responsible for operations in Property
Services and Markets with our Real Estate division.
He joined the board in November 2010 and was previously a member
of the management division board from 2007. Richard joined
Symonds Group in 2000 as a Project Manager, becoming Commercial
Director of the division in 2007 and Operations Director in 2008.
He led the integration of NB Real Estate into Capita Symonds in
2010. Richard trained as a Civil Engineer, became a chartered
engineer in 1999 completed an executive MBA between 2004.
Colin is Operations Director within our Real Estate
division, responsible for Consultancy and Projects both UK and
International.
He joined the board in November 2010 and was previously a member
of the Management Division board from 2007. Colin has 30
years operational and commercial experience having joined Capita
Symonds in 2007 after working for Bovis Lend Lease , latterly
as Regional Managing Director in the North of England and prior to
that John Laing Construction in both the North West and
London. Colin trained as a Quantity Surveyor and became a
Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in 1986.
Owen is Finance Director of our Real
Estate division.
He joined Capita Symonds in November 2010 with
23 years financial management experience in commercial and
residential property development, management and investment. Prior
to joining Capita Symonds he was Finance Director for Royal
Westmoreland Barbados and the Longford Group. Earlier in his
career, Owen was Group Financial Controller for two listed property
companies. He has a BA Joint Hons in Law and History and is a
Fellow of the Institute Of Chartered Accountants.
