Location
Godalming is an affluent commuter town located 5 miles south west of Guildford and 40 miles south west of Central London. The town is located in the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and has a population of approximately 21,000 people (Census 2001).

The A3 linking Portsmouth to London is less than 2 miles from the town centre and the A3100 runs through Godalming connecting the town to Guildford. The nearby Hindhead Tunnel is due for completion shortly and will greatly improve journey times on the A3.

Junction 10 of the M25 is approximately 14 miles to the north east and is accessed via the A3. In addition, Junction 4 of the M3 is easily accessible being some 12 miles to the north west at Frimley.

The town benefits from a frequent rail service to London (Waterloo) with a fastest journey time of 40 minutes and Gatwick and Heathrow airports are both approximately 30 miles from the town, only a 45 minute drive away. A regular bus service links Godalming to Guildford giving easy access to the amenities offered by Guildford city centre. Guildford Station provides regular services to Gatwick Airport, Reading and London.

Berkeley House occupies a prominent location in Godalming, fronting Ockford Road, a short walk from the High Street and local shopping facilities and 500 yards from the train station.

The property is situated at the junction of the High Street and A3100 Godalming relief road (Ockford Road/ Flombard Way) which was completed in 1994 and has greatly improved traffic flow through the town.
